EIA report acc. to § 31 of Act no. 24/2006 Coll., On environmental impact assessment, as amended (EIA Report), prepared for the project "Highway D4 Bratislava, Rača - Záhorská Bystrica". The purpose of the proposed activity is to build the entire D4 motorway, an integral part of which is the assessed section, around the capital Bratislava, which will significantly help solve the problem of transit traffic as well as the problem of insufficient capacity of the road network of the capital Bratislava. It will significantly improve traffic in the affected area and will relieve the adjacent municipalities from the transit traffic, which is primarily to be served by the motorway network.
The corridor of the entire D4 motorway is conceptually long-term monitored and cross-border with the Republic of Austria in relation to its connection to the Austrian A6 motorway and the S8 expressway, which is to ensure the shortest road connection between Bratislava and Vienna.
